Depending on how wide of a wheel you use, a 225/50, 235/45 or a 245/45 would get my recommendation.

Hey thanks so much. I was just on your site actually and it recommended 225 50 17. I just wanted a few suggestions so that maybe i could keep the ride some what the same and not so low profile. I'm not sure how wide they are I just know they came off his is Lexus and they are 17ich. Does that make a difference?

The wheel width should be stamped on the inside of the wheel. Regardless, the SC400 will be able to use either of those sizes and a factory wheel should be fine. (do check that width though)

Also keep in mind, these sizes are loosing sidewall to accommodate the new 17" wheel size. -another words, the overall diameter of your factory 16" tire will not change.

A 225/50/17 requires a rim that is between 6"-8" wide, 7" being optimum.

My three top picks for ride quality and tire longevity will be the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus, the Continental Pure Contact and the Michelin Premier A/S

Hi thanks again for your help. I think I can see 7.5 on inside of the rim so I think I will be ok . What do you think of 215-55-17? or should i stick with the 225-50-17. I was looking at the pirelli centuro7, Yokohama ascend but ill take a look at what u recommended also but i think Michelin is out of my league
