Default discount tires vs costco tire center

I've been a long time discount tire fan and I recently checked with costco tire center and their prices seem to be very close to each other. Besides discount tire being cheap, one of the other main reason that I use them is because of the free tire flat repair and the lifetime rotation and balance. The tire repair is also done right. They actually take off the tire and repair it from the inside. Besides costco using nitrogen vs regular air, does anybody know if costco offers the same flat tire repair and lifetime rotation and balance?

They do offer repairs and lifetime rotation and balance. They've also broken down wheels for me several times, so I could go get a rim crack repaired, and then re-mounted/balanced after the repair was complete, at no charge. I only buy tires there, period. I do try to take advantage of the $70 discount for 4 tires promos (cycles between Michelin and Bridgestone) as often as possible though.

Love buying tires from Costco. Service is second to none. Only negative is you don't have a huge selection to choose from.

I heard Costco will not install tires that are different sized than oem specified, not sure if this is true or not. I do know discount tire will install whatever size tire you tell them to.

Not true for all discount tires. Just recently, Discount Tire wouldn't mount an225/35-20 tire on my 9" front rim due to the load index rating not being sufficient for a 2007 GS350. But I guess if you bring them only the rims, that may be different.

I always choose discount tire because they always price match, more size and brand selection, have more convenient locations for service if needed and their Road Hazard warranty along with customer service is excellent.

I have used both Costco and Discount Tires. Been happy with both places.
