Default Is300 wheels on a es330 04 lexus

Hello I am new to club Lexus and have a issue .I just put new oem Is 300 wheels on a Lexus 04 es330 .I went with 4 front since the wheels are staggerd figured the smaller width was better and for rotation purposes .My problem is the car when fully loaded with passengers rubs on the rear tires . I was wondering if any one else put these wheels on this car and figured out a solution ?I have the front rims all the way around 18x8 with 225/50/18 will a smaller tire work even with full load and how small? and will it ruin the ride quality? thanks for any help . if I cant figure out solution I guess smaller wheels 17 I do have a rear set of the staggered wheels but they 18x8 1/2 with different off set. thanks.

I can't say for sure what the issue is but it seems that the tire you have on there (225/50/18) may be a bit too beefy.

According to tirerack.com the OEM front tire size for the 18" front wheel on the IS350 is 225/40/18. In contrast, the overall rolling diameter is of a 225/40/18 is roughly around 25". Whereas the tire you have mounted is a 225/50/18 and has a overall rolling diameter of around 27". That extra 2" may be why you're experiencing rubbing issues.

Well i went to a 225/45/18 and no rim protector edge and everything is good now had a full passenger load the other day and no rubbing.so if your interested in 18x8 on your es 330 no more than 43 offset and 18x 8 with the 225/45/18 tire worked great on my 2004 the is wheels look great and ride smooth. With this combo...
