Any help would be appriecated. Local body shop scracthed my br5's. The front passenger. How much would it cost to get the lip fixed and rechromed? I feel bad too cuz its my friend's dads place. Any info would help.
Thanks,
Tonee

There are several shops in Cali that do this type of work. Depending on the damage, the price will vary. I would think that couple of hundred at the worst.
Where are you located, city?
If in nor-cal there is a shop in the bay that restores wheels with a special process that I think is pretty clean.
In so-cal, I would call any major shop that you trust or is a CL vendor and get a name/number.
Good Luck.
Word of warning, do not let anyone try one of those spring-arm cheap fix things to just bend the lip back. Take it to a pro and pay the money.
hey guys the rims aren't bent just scratched about 1/4 of the rim pretty deep. the guy hit the curb. Stupid asses. So it shouldn't be more than 150 to get it fixed and rechromed?
what part of so. cali are you in? i re-polished my old rims before i sold them and this place did a great job. they can just polish the outer lip and they'll put it back together. looks just like new... not perfect, but better than having a curb rash.
jeez, that sucks. i don't think i've ever seen chrome lips. but if they are chrome... they have to take apart your wheel, take off the existing chrome, then polish it nice, and then re-chrome the lip. do you think your friend's shop is willing to pay for all that? i'm thinking in the area of $250 or so...
i hope they do cuz i can see the scratch like 10 to 20 feet away. Wasn't my fault that they can't park it. I'm not putting money out of my pocket paying for something i didn't do.
i know what you mean. i left my car at the mechanics and they made a deep gash into the rim about 3 inches long. he offered to pay, but instead i made him work on my car for free.
