It also depends on the offset and the width of the wheels.

Call me dumb but I don't know the off set. Bought the wheels from a friend who had them on his 98 gs300. just thought they would work. By the way. ..... no drop at all. 245/35/20 nitto's is all I know. Hate to sound so stupid! So the attacks come in different off sets?

It'll look funny if you have 20s' without lowering your car.

It's not the offset that is the problem if you are rubbing the fender lining vents. It's the overall diameter of the tires which you can do nothing about. It will just rub away. You could take a heat gun and "reshape" the inner fender lining.

Just so you know, Giovannas aren't very good wheels....and on 20's, you should definitely lower your car...it's gotta look like a 4x4.

As for offsets and such, use the SEARCH tool as this topic has been discussed close to a million times. Ok, maybe over a million.

Yes I too have this problem when my wheel is turned all the way and only when it is cut all the way. It doesn't seem to be a big deal because it is only that plastic lining under the wheelwell.

Default alot to say and answer to!

I have a GS 300 (2000). Giovanna not a good wheel...why not? The attacks that I have are a 5 spoke, the six spoke are for suv's. Can't lie to the Lexus lovers...got the 20's for a 1000.00 with Nitto's zr extreme. Wheels are perfect.. not blems at all. Guy had $$$ trouble and I took advantage. They were a month old..have orig. reciept. Anyways thanks for the help guys... also noticed that it only rubs when I make a hard left turn. Guess I'll live with it. Would lowering make this Rub worse?

jsut dont make sharp turns.. i rubbed a bit , after a while the inner fender will jsut wear down and be use to the shape and it will stop rubbing.

I had severe rubbing - straight, turns, driveways - everything. A low stance is mandatory and I simply sprayed the wheel well w/ white paint to see where the rubbing is. Then we heated the wheel well plastic and pushed it up. Lastly, we bent back some inner fender metal so it wouldn't cut the tire in case I hit a pot hole or something. Now I am in good shape and no rub at all with a 1 finger gap.

Thanks to RMM for all of this help (and sledgehammer rental)

Well Thanks Syn.

I hardly frequent this forum, so funny running in to ya.

I remember when you used to rub the inner fenders while driving straight and going 20 mph over a manhole cover !

Your rubbing was A LOT more than just wearing down some plastic. You had some serious metal to rubber issues.

Good to hear after almost a year, you have no rubbing issues on DUBs with just 1 finger gap and a relatively soft suspension. Actually I thought you had zero gap, what happened?

We should post this mod one of these days, sledgehammer and all !

Gotta dig for those pics though.
