Wheels & tires Setup question GS300
hey if i get these wheels
19x8.5 and 19x9.5
and they come with
pirelli tires
245/45/19 front and 275/40/19 rear
will they fit on the GS with those tires? any problems etc?
also what should the offsett be on those wheels? im guessing +38 up fron and +38-42 in the rear?
thanks

thats almost known as the fat tire set up , however the rear for proper fitting should be 285/40 ?/19
i am riding the proper set up with 245/35/19 frnt and 275/30/19 rear and ride quality got better then my 18 in set up , go figure , i think its the new goodyear f1 gs-d3 that have something to do with that , they are comfortable , very very very quiet but very respondsive at mid to high speeds

Tire Size
Lexforlife is right, 245/35 and 275/30 19 is the best sizing. This is the same overall diameter as the stock size so you shouldn't have any problems lowering the car.

u shouldn't have problems lowering u'r car with the fat tire set up either. theirs a memeber named jbnet i think who has this wet up and the car is lowered and he has no rubbing issues...do a search and u might find his post...

That's the bloated look....LOL.
Seriously, that's too big for my taste. Also, keep in mind that this fat setup will also affect your speedometer a bit....so you will probably need re-calibration of some sort.

how much will it affect the speedometer in mph?
i would think only slightly.
will it affect it by showing your speed as faster than it really is or by showing a speed that is slower than it really is?

jibbet does have the fat tire setup , but in reading some of his old posts he did have to trim the inside lip of the wheel fender..
i think the fat tire setup looks odd esp in the rear for it really fills up the wheel well also the overall height will be taller almost like riding on 20's
stick with the right setup and get a high end forged or semi forged wheel and a great designed tire with a thick rim protecter like the goodyears f1 gs-d3 and you will happy
