does anyone know what sound our gs brakes make when we need to change them? Is it a sweaking Sound when braking or is it like a clunk, clunk sound when braking?

You should hear a scraping sound when the pads are worn to the metal. That would be bad. Squeaky could mean a whole new discussion/thread. I've heard anything from door jam, to loose nut bolt or steering rack problem. Mine makes a weird guitar twanging sound right now when going over a small hump on an incline. I have yet to find out what's wrong with it.

A weird clunk clunk sound is usually associated to a problem in your suspension or tie rod.
