Default Ordered new rims, need tire help/advice/prices

Okay ... I wanted bigger/wider/better, so I said screw it and ordered new rims today.

I have a 93 SC300, rockin' Supra TT struts and Supra TT Eibach Prokit Springs.

The wheels I ordered are
18 x 8.5" +38 front
18 x 9.5" +38 rear

So ... I want some wider tires of course (I am running 225/45/17 on a 7" wide rim right now) ...

I want to know what size tires I should run in front and rear. I don't want to spend a fortune on tires, but I also want to be happy. I do like my Toyo Proxes that I have now ... I have considered Nitto 555 tires ... so ... give me your advice on sizes and brands ... and then ... of course ... how much it is going to cost me.

I don't want the tires to rub if possible and I don't want to roll fenders if possible, but I will if I have to.

Thanks

I'll run 235-40-18 or 245-40-18 in the front & 275-35-18 in the rear.
As for the tire brand, hmm.............I think Nitto is the best for bucks and it last very long but too noisy and sucks in wet traction.

That is about the sizes I was figuring on ... I just hope nothing will rub and that they will sit pretty flush. How much do the Nittos cost ?

Any other input would be great!

You won't have rubbing with 18s unless you slam the car. The Nittos(NT555 Extreme) will run you around $600+.

Either get the new G Force tires or stick with the toyos. Go wider than 275 =). I wish i went wider than 275.

Took half of your advice. I ordered Toyo Proxes FX4s today, 275/35/18 and 245/40/18. They will be here tomorrow morning. Rims will also be here tomorrow, so pictures will be up hopefully early tomorrow

Tires, including mounting and balancing on my new rims, were $660. I hope that was a good price for the set.
