330 wheels on 300
I am trying to get a set of RX330 wheels to fit onto an RX300. Using this wheel I am also trying to use 235/60 - 17 tires instead of the 225/65-17 the 330 comes with.
The question is: Do they fit? Anyone tried this?

They may fit,but you should check the rolling diameter of the tire you are trying to use vs. the stock tire from your RX300. The problem spot with the RX300 is the rear tires and the clearance at the rear strut. It is very very close to the inside of the tire and to the top of the tire. You want the rolling diameter of the tire you are going to use to be <3% difference of the rolling diameter of the stock RX300 tire. If it is, then you should be fine. BTW, a 235 tire is the widest tire that will fit using a RX330 wheel on a RX300 without using spacers. You want to avoid using a spacer at all costs, but if you HAVE to use a spacer then get H&R Spacers because they come with the longer studs required. I have a set of H&R 15mm spacers for the RX300 because I thought I'd need them when I put my 18's on, but didn't. If you need a set, then send me a PM.
Hope this helps you out

Wow! they look great. I guess they are 18's. I don't even want to go that far. I just want 17's. What are the size of the tires? Did you need to use spacers? Do the wheels stick out at all or are they completely flush with the body?

The OEM 17's available on the 2004 RX 330 are 6 spokes and I have no experience with them, except to say I don't care for the look.
My tires are 235/55-18 Michelins. They're OEM on the RX 330.
I added 25mm H&R spacers all around. My rear wheels are beautifully flush with the fender well. The front wheels bulge out slightly. It gives the RX 300 a broader stance and a lower, "planted on the road" look.
Good luck!

Thanks all.
That's an RMM Grille (Rod Millen Motorsports). I bought it from another CL member, ronncat. I hesitated in buying it, because I'd heard of fitment issues on the RMM GS grille. But no problems...This RX 300 RMM grille fits beautifully...Flush and smooth. Looks OEM!
Those wheels...I also bought them from another CL member, JeffKnet. He bought some beautiful chromes for his Blak Onyx RX 330. They list for $1400 (approx), but thanks to CL and Jeff, I got a better price. Thanks, Jeff!

Quick question. How is your Odometer? Is it as accurate with 18 inch rims vs. stock 16's? Thanks. I have navigation and read somewhere if I flicker the lights on and off, I have a setup screen to calibrate. Thanks in advance.

Lead Lap
Your 18" wheels
Great setup and just wanted to know
As it sounds like you did some research on those wheels, do you have any concerns for wheel bearings given the fact that the fronts stick out a little beyond the fender?
Thanks,
Fern
