Default My 98 SC400 rolling on new 18" wheels

I got everything done today finally my tires got lost in shipping and everything was dealayed but oh well I guess that always happens to me when I want something I can never have it soon enough. The wheels are Moda R6's in 18"x8"front 18"x9"rear with Yokohoma AVS ES 100 tires 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear and so far I love them. I will post up some more pics soon but my battery died when I shot this one.

Just curious, how much of a difference in feel and handling of your ride going from stock 16s to 18s?

You need to drop it at least 1.5 - 2" to look like this:

On the Moda R6's, is the difference between 18's and 19's that noticable? I'm seriously considering getting some and i love the look of Clint's car but I don't want to pay a considerably higher price for the tires when they wear out.

Dixond

I had the same feeling you did and decided to go for it and try the 18" and they look big enough on my car and I am not as worried daily driving with low profile tires as I would have been with 19"

I always had a thing for the early SC cars- if I had been able to find a nice clean SC400, I would be driving one instead of my GS...

Funny how bigger aftermarket wheels really accentuate the body lines of this car.
Looks sweet... not dated looking at all- still one of my favrite cars!

Nice going!

Mark,

Was there a big difference in ride quality? I want to put on Supra TT brakes and I am torn between going with 17's or 18's. Do the 18's ride harsh?

Tom
