I am running the stock bridgestones on 16 Gs wheels and I need some new tires. The tirerack survey has ratings for quietness. How much difference is a tire that has, say, 8.1 and a tire that has 8.7. Specifically, how does the AVS DBS2, Conti extreme, and ES100, compare to one another in quietness. I am just trying to get a feel of how to use the survey in my decision process.

The customer survey results are very subjective. Of those three tires the AVS DB is most quiet, followed by the Conti.

How much quieter are the AVS DB? And how about the handling? How does one compare the say, the summer tires versus all seasons using the survey or the numbers should only be used within each catagory?
