Set the record straight - fastest street tire (non drag radial) Lexus
There is a thread similar to this on the SupraForums, and I am curious to see what people have done here.
I want to know who has the FASTEST recorded 1/4 mile slip on street tires (no drag radials).
Thanks

I'd be surprised if you found many ppl at all Nick, we'll see, but not too common to see guys with a built-up 2JZ running on a true radial, at least not around here (unless they're seeing action on the street, where a DOT or DR will force you to give up a spot), soon as you touch the 12's the rest goes up in smoke, you know? I guess you do know . If you end up being the SC radial tyre big cheese, me and gadgetSC will be working very hard the next few months to dethrone you before we try some DR's and ET St's .....
Keep that bad boy and get a 3rd job if need be, support that addiction properly son, I do insane things to support my hp habit, all in the name of LIFE BEING SO DAMNED SHORT, feel me?

I was thinking of dyno-ing with some race gas and having the "most powerful stock-blocked 2JZ-GE in the world" and possibly the "fastest street tire Lexus in the world" to add to my advertisement Trust me, I want to keep it, and I am trying, but I am out of a home right now....fire didn't help our situation much.

I'd like to think that I was in good shape awhile ago... Angel beat my mph and ET by just a little right off the bat. I also thought the cam and head work would help my ET, but they havent. When going for this title, its not going to be the one with the most hp, but the one with the best launch. It doesn't matter if we're laying down 400rwhp or 800rhp. The person with the best launch will win. If I had to guess, the correct recipe would be: 500+rwhp, two step launch box, 7000rpm slip of a Tilton triple disc, Supra 6spd, TRD LSD, a properly corner weighted Tein SC or other mild damping rate coil over setup, BFG KD 315/35/17, 17x11 rears, 17x8 fronts. That should be enough for an 11.x timeslip.
aaah screw it---I'd rather have 700rwhp and do a one wheel burn out three quarters of the way down the track.

My best was 12.9 @ 118.8 MPH ... you guys can't be telling me that there aren't any faster non-drag-radial times out there ...

If your 12.73 is the fastest time out there for a non-drag-radial Lexus ... then I might just have to head back to the track (a different one this time tho). I have another surprise for everyone coming soon (if everything goes smoothly).....

Or just an automatic .
Some have made over 600rwhp with IS3's on the stock block (though i'm sure the rods have one foot in the grave), Peter Farrell, Lance Ho Lung, Jarrett Humphries, etc, so you've got your work cut out for you setting that record. I'd really like to know who the has the quickest stock short block SC though.

This is the best street tire for dry traction only and my guess is it's the answer to your question.
