Default Fitment question for es 300: 18's or 19's

I have a 92 es 300 and I want to get some rims. Im pretty much in the dark about what size to get. I want 19's but I dont know what modifications I would need(if any) and how exspensive(it would be do get the mods done) to fit the rims on the car. Also I was wondering If there would be a rubbing problem. Advice on 18's would be helpful aswell. Could someone give me advice?????

Default 18's

18 inch with 215/40 18 is a slam dunk on that car with no modification required.

18 on ES

definitely go with 18's, and you won't have any problems.

No doubt the 18's are perfect. Alot of members use 225/40/18 though.

What year is your ES? I recall seeing a second gen ES (97~01) with 19's, and I think some of the 3rd gen(present model) guys have 19's. They looked ok on teh 2nd gen, but I don't know how they would look on first gen, and the present model is bigger, and 19's would look alright. But there would be alot of rubbing I'm afraid on the first two generations of ES'. Ask about it in the ES forum, they will be able to help you out.
