Anyone has experiences of using some tires that have larger overall diameter and wide
Anyone has experiences of using some tires that have larger overall diameter and wider on a 2000 GS30? How large and wide at most (and the offset?) can I use without having the tires rubbing the body when going over bumps with the factory suspension? I figure it will be different for the rear and the front.
I want the look and comfort and don't care about the handling or peformance when I hava a baby always in the rear seats.
How do you figure out the overall diameter of the tires?
Say I have a 245/40-18 tire. Would it be 24.5cm x 40% 2.54in/cm x2+18in=25.72in?
Last question, with 18"x8" wheel, how wide of a tire can I use? 275?
I plan to get some 18x8 rims and 275/40-18 for the rear and 245/45-18 for the front. Work? What offset can I go for?
Rookie DC.

Tire Sizes
The correct tire sizes would be 245/40 18 front and 275/35 18 rear. If you want the most comfortable ride you should stay with the stock tire sizing, because by upsizing you are going to trade off ride quality for performance. Here is a good link about sizing...
