Default any 96 LS tire recomendations appreciated

Looking to replace tires on my 1996 ls 400. I have factory wheels and want to keep them. Looking for handling first and quiet second - tread life third - price last. Would like to stay with an all season (I know I will have to sacrafice some handling) , but do have snows and open to all suggestions. Thanks, Mike

Default LS Tire Recomendations

I replaced the OEM Dunlop tires on my LS 400 with Nokian All Weather tires. I am very pleased with them. This is part of the same group of companies that make the cell phones.
Pros:
1. 50,000 mile treadware warranty.
2. Very quite.
3. Excellent handling.
4.Excellent traction in rain and snow.
5. Reasonable cost $115.00 per tire.
6. Free rotation over the life of the tire (every 7500 miles).
7. Designed for northern European roads and used on a number of European luxury cars sold in that area.

Cons:
1. One less speed rating than Dunlop. (H vrs V). I think 130 mph is high enough for my plans.

I have put 11,000 miles on these tires without any sign of ware or problems. The most I ever got from the Dunlops was about 25,000 miles.

Default My Recommendation...

My recommendation for the quietest, smoothest, best ride quality tire with a 50K treadlife warranty is the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. It also has excellent wet traction.

Bridgestone Turanza LS-H
