Lightbulb 18" Lowenhart LD1's on my 95 SC400??

What do u fellow CL members feel about polished Lowenhart LD1's on my 97+ conversion SC400? They are 18" and i rode with them for about 30 min. They feel excellent and dont' look too bad. The seller is from the body shop that i done my conversion at. Just wanted some thoughts and suggestions to help me make my decisions. I saw some pictures after doing some searches on the sc forums but there wasn't that many. Mostly found them int eh GS threads. We haven't negotiated prices, but there will be a new set of tires on them. Anybody know of a good price I should be paying for them?
thanx in advance
Jimbo

P.S. I'll have pics of my 97+ conversion up soon.

LD-1's are hella nice, but i'd pass since they're a dime a dozen in CA. Not to mention the knock off's that just ruin it for ya. Unless it's dirt cheap, i'd pass...

LD1's are really expensive, but way too many companies make knock-off LD1's, so it would suck if you bought them for like $5000 and had some guy park next to you with the same looking wheels for $1000.

Since you will probably get a killer deal on them, go for it.

Are you sure you want polished instead of chrome? Chrome LD1's look pimp. I think a few guys here have chrome LD1's on their SC400's.

thanx for all the suggestion. i did a little research myself and i will probably negotiate with them and offer them somewhere in the mid to high 1000. sound reasonable??

Goldsc300,
yeah i think teh crome one would look nice, but i dont' have many choices.

I didn't know there were that many knockoffs of this brand but i guess from what you guys say, its true.
thanx anyways

I would get the in 19'' and chromed, if they don't have them chrome then get them chrome dipped.

Don't chrome them...resist the ghetto bling bling.....

LD1's are very played out but if you like 'em, get 'em...but don't buy them just because they're cheap...personally, I'd never do a set of LD-1's....but that's just me....

Too many mixed opinions here. I personally think chrome is not "ghetto" or "bling bling" like some of you guys call it. I think chrome looks better because it's easier to clean and last long and looks shinier when it's clean. That's just my opinion.

Some wheels look better not chromed, but not LD1's. But for $1000 any kind of LD1's are nice.
