My dad wants to give his car to a client but the tires are worn so he wants me to replace them before he gives the car away. His only request was to get the cheapest tires but I know he will be ticked if the tires I get dont last like 15 or 20,000 miles. I dont think they, the client or my dad, care about best performance but instead want a quiet, good wet traction, long lasting tire.

I visited Tirerack and the only tires in stock in his size, 245/45/18 and 255/45/18, all seem to be ultra high performance that wear out quickly.

I also found Discount Tire direct which seem to have cheaper prices, not Ultra performance tires, and tires that last longer.

Im considering from TR: S03's for 860 shipped or the SP 9000's for 796 Shipped
From Discount tire: Hankook(who are they?) K104 for 646 shipped or Falken Fk-451 for 706....Maybe Falken ST115 for 704 or Yokohoma AVS dB for 620 if i go 255 all around.

What should I do?
