Default SC TIRES 245/30/19 or 275/30/19?

Had a question. What size tires are you 92+ sc300 400 guys running if running 19s? I am curretnyl debating on 245/35/19 front and 235/35/19 front? or 275/30/19 rear vs 265/30/19 rear?

Thanks...also did you guys have to roll the fenders for the front and rears if using the 245/275 set up? TAI

i have 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with 245/35 and 275/30 series in the rear. With Teins, I do rub, but with the eibach setup, none at all.

I'm getting my rears shaved on Thursday. The front are fine the way it is. I hope this helps.

This is just some general information that I've discovered on my SC (92 SC400)

The 245/275 combo works fine so long as your offset is good. Now I have 20's on my SC so it's particularly important to have the right offsets. With the smaller wheels (standard 19" setup and down), you can go a little more aggressive on the offsets but watch your lowering.

I must say, out of all the cars I've owned/lowered, the SC has the WORST front fender clearance (inside), that I've ever seen. You have to really worry about the driver's side (on a LHD...maybe on a RHD too) because the main wiring harness, airbag sensor line, and hood release cable all run DIRECTLY over the tire. So if you lower it too much (especially with 20's or the FAT 19" setup), it will rub right through the fender lining and through the main wiring harness housing and the airbag sensor line and the hood release line...I had to have all that stuff rerouted and I had to do some "air chiseling" under the fender liner to make it work (Lexus could have wired that better like following the body rather than routing it right over the tire...)

On the rear, the SC needs REALLY deep offsets...on my 20x10, I am running a +47 and it still rubbed the plastic fender edge liner (not the inner liner). So I took that off and it still rubbed slightly (nothing to write home about) but I would highly recommend on 20" or FAT 19" setup to do a +52 or so...and that was with a slightly undersized 275/30-20 tire...a 285 would kill it...you'd have to run like a +60...otherwise, roll/cut your fenders (which is what I'm going do...I don't mind doing that kind stuff on a used car )

The other problem you need to worry about is the suspension clearance on the rear wheel when you do too deep of a offset. A +47 is really close to the stock setup if I remember correctly...my JIC SF-1 coilovers a bit skinnier in diameter then the stock suspension so I have a little more clearance. Just something to keep in mind when do a 10" wide wheel.

I would recommend doing a 9.5" instead with a 275.

Veilside, do you know the offsets of the wheels?
