How long do the Toyo T1-S last?
Hi,
I will be in the market for a new set of tires in the 245/45-17 size and wanted to know how many miles people are getting on their Toyo T1-S tires. I know the results could vary greatly depending on your driving style. I do not do track events and mainly do a lot of highway driving with the occassion spirited canyon run. I had narrowed my tire selection down to the S-03 and T1-S and was previously told the T1-S lasts longer.
The other question I have is who has the best prices on the Toyo's?
Thanks,

I am also in the market for some new tires, I actually place a deposit on some Toyo T1's this past Saturday . I am going to run 235/45-17 in the front and 265/40 17 in the rear. The whole package is costing me $660.00. I ask the clerk at the store which tire is better ? The Toyo T1's or the S03. His reply was go with the Toyo's if your are looking for performance tire. He also added that the grip during wet roads condition is not as great. If your are seeking a tire solely basis on performance you should go with the Toyo T1's. Also Toyo will give you a refund if you are not satisfied with there tire for the first five hundred miles. That's my 2cent .

Bitkahuna,
Why do you think that this setup is crazy!!! First, I check out a thread that was posted by Dex on 02/28/02. I believe subject was "What's the widest tire you could put on stock 17" wheels". He used the same setup (235/45-17Front - 265/40-17Rears) . Second, I spoke to a rep at Tire Rack, He said that this combination should workout just fine. I am still open to your comments/ suggestion on this subject. Please share.
Thanks

That's a 10.43" wide tire on an 8" wide rim. Why would you want to do this???
