opinions on IS wheels on SC
I would like to get some personal opinions from SC owners who are running IS wheels on their SC. I've read from others that the tires are to narrow for the car. For those who already have them on your car, what are your thoughts?

The IS300 OE wheels are really narrow- 17x7 +50 with 215/45-17 (Sportcross has 225/45-17 on the rear). You should put a wider tire on them (235/45-17, "correct" for the SC), but the 235s are a bit wide for the 17x7... however, you can do it.
In my eyes, the biggest issue is that the OE SC wheels are 16x7.5 +50. This means the IS300 wheels will be 1/4" more inboard on the car than they already are- and the SC OE wheels are already really weak looking (in terms of offset).
If you want to change the wheels, and a re on a budget, I'd recommend a nice set of GS400 wheels- they are 17x8 +50 and use 235/45-17- perfect for your SC.
