Default How to tell what will clear big brake kit?

Im looking to order a 2nd set of wheels to have in the winter so I can take my HRE's off the car. I also just bought the Stoptech 14" big brake kit, which will not clear the stock wheels, which is why I need a 2nd set of wheels. My question is how can I be sure what will clear the BB kit when ordering? Bob at HRE was kind enough to let me know about my current wheels fitting, but IM not so sure that all wheel companies will have that knowledge readily available. The only way I know of is to use the template, which doesnt do me much good until I have the wheels in my hand.

Im thinking about going with the Volks GTC in black with the polished lip and center, if anyone knows who has the good deal on Volks let me know.

do it the other way, tell stoptech about your wheels and see if they have them in file. i am not 100% sure but with the gtc high disk it will probably clear

I have the same problem and I have a low-disc wheels. Working out a deal on Brembos and i might have to get a high disc Work Eurolines for the front. I am still pretty pissed off about it.

Default Big Brake Kits

Here at The Tire Rack we would have you email the PDF template file and we would check it against whatever wheel you are interested in. We have a new wheel designed to be BBK friendly called the SSR Competition H.
