Question looking for a profile suggestion,,,,

18s on a lowered gs. about 2 inches low, do i go with a 45 profile. or even less, 40 profile? i was thinking to eliminate rubbing issues, get 40s. but to comensate for a ruff ride 45. ive been going back and forth and have been waiting to buy tires. what rating would be suggested? z, x, y, is the highest speed rating really needed? i m thinking michelin pilot sport. any info would help me evaluate and decide, thanx to all!!!

get a 40 series because a 45 tire will look too thick on 18's on a GS.

get the highest speed rating, not because you intend to go there, but there's more to it then just the speed, but its not something to ponder in the middle of the night

40s would be the correct upgrade...you do not want to to be "tall" in oevrall diameter

Depends on the section width of the tire. If you are going with a staggered setup, a 275/35/18 would be a good choice for the rear. But for a 235 or 245, the 40 is the way to go.
