Default Help! wheels won't fit

I just bought some 18" volk av3s on ebay and they won't fit my 93' sc400. It seems like the bolts on the car aren't long enough for the lugnut to screw on. The wheel offset was advertised as 46mm so I thought they would fit.

The lugnuts I have will fit into the slot of the wheels but there isn't enough bolt sticking out for the lugnut to screw onto. Is there any way I can drill the holes to make them deeper? Or can I get longer bolts installed? This all sounds pretty damn expensive but I would like to see what my options are. Any ideas on what i can do?

wheel specs: 18x8 +46 Offset
tires: 235/40ZR-18

Are you trying to use stock lugnuts?

when you bought the wheels they didn't come with the lug nuts?! you need special lug nuts for the av3, they are kinda rare. you either order them from volks directly or there is a set of gorilla locks that will work. i need to dig up the info though @_@

I have a set of gorrilla lugnuts that will fit into the hole. I have heard that I will need AV3 lugnuts for them to fit, but the gorilla lugnuts seem to fit into the groove of the holes perfectly. I have ordered the AV3 lugnuts anyways just to be sure (i'm desperate). The only 2 solutions seem to be if I were to drill the holes in the rims deeper, or to get longer bolts. Other then that I will have to sell em

umm... i have full sets of gorilla locks on my wheels, my stock av3 lug nuts are all abandoned already. there is no problem at all. they are same shape, so..... as long as you get the right gorilla you are fine.

and no!!!!!!! don't drill bigger holes on the wheels!!!!!! you don't want it to fly out of the car on the freeway

well, i really meant DEEPER holes, not bigger ones. But now I think I have read some posts where I might be able to put some longer wheel studs.
