Default 2IS: Is350 tire choices?

Right now I have winter tires on the stock 18" rims and I'm looking into getting a second set of rims for a dedicated set of summer tires. I am looking to do something along the lines of18x8 front and 17x9.5 rear. My car came with 255/50r18 tires on the rear and I'm thinking I'd like to go with a 26" tire to return to the intended diameter and even out the rake. The catch is the car spins fairly easily as is and the shorter tire might make it worse. It could be that the tires that came with the car aren't great and new tires won't be so bad but I would still like some opinions. I would prefer not to go with a 275 tire if I can get a reasonably priced 255 that sticks well enough. Right now I'm considering a pair of Continental extreme contact DW's as they have excellent reviews and the reported ride quality and noise is a plus. Question is will those be good enough? I wouldn't mind something with some road noise if it grips well, I would even be OK with lesser tread life if the price isn't over 200 a tire. Maybe better asked is, what is the best overall tire I can get for under 200 bucks that isn't too loud?

$200 is a pretty low budget.

I always go with Michelin tires and have never been disappointed.

Take a look at Vogue Tyre's Signature V 60K mileage warranty, 30 day buy & try and if you buy from a stocking Lexus dealer it comes with 2 years of road hazard plus a $75 mail rebate good till the end of April
