I know the OEM 17" wheels weigh about 26lbs, but does anyone know what the OEM 16" wheels weigh?

Considering getting a set of Nitto drag radials and putting them on a set of my 16" wheels, but if they weigh 30 lbs it might be worth the investment to look for a lightweight set of (16x9?) wheels for the rear.

Anbody got a 16" GS wheel without a tire on it that they could put on a scale?

For me, it was about 16-18lbs for each of the stock 5-spoke 16in. rims without tires. With Bridgestone tires they were about 43lbs total with 34psi of air in them. I hope this helps.

Thanks Zenki, that sounds pretty light. I really hope you're right, but suspect they're heavier.

I didn't think about this earlier, but I guess I could probably deflate one of my tires and pry it off the wheel and just weigh it myself. I've never tried this with a car tire (only done it on a bike ). Sound do-able? Don't want to ruin the tire.
