Default cracked my rim :(

new york roads.. all those potholes !#$%#$%#$





i somehow managed to crack my stock 17" oem rim..

any ideas where to fix it? or where to buy new/used one?

it goes for spare anyway, so i dont need brand new one

Well here's proof that you can even crack a set of stock wheels It's all about luck.

As for a repair, it is fixable. You should see where your Lexus dealer get it's fixed...

that stinks.....wasnt there a site in the lobby a week or two ago that you can report them i duno if that covers your damage though.......i know a few people from my area that have hit potholes and blew out there rims and screwed up there tires sent the bills to the city and they paid them!!

can you give me more info on that? i'd love to do that.. i'm out of job right now so i don't really want to pay for it if i have an option not to.

alexus, are you in the NYC area?? I know of a couple places that can weld it for you. They will not be 100 as strong as before, but they will be drivable! let me know

i'm from brooklyn, i took out my spare and put it on, mean while i'm going fix that one and just keep it as a spare one.. so yes i'm very much interested to know where can i fix it? btw any ideas how much? or is maybe it's better just to get new rim instead?

ALEXUS, I'm from Bed Stuy!! I was down this wknd for a wedding, and I was all over the damn place, Canarsie, Queens, Canal ST!! Anyway, I know 2 spots, one is this Spanish dude named Felix off atlantic Ave. the exact street is pacific between classon and franklin, and its more towards the corner of classon. Felix fixes cracks and and a jamaican dude named Hugh fixes bends. Altogther I spent about 1000 dollars with them guys when I had a race drop, 18x8s, and a 215/35-18 on my 95 Accord!!!

BTW, a cracked rim weld will run you about 55 bucks, and a rim straightening will run you 75-150. Although its a real gypsie operation, they do decent work for a decent price. The other spot I know is Poor Freddies on Merrick Blvd in rochdale queens

I know people in new york that managed to crack their stock 15 inch wheels...

Poor Freddies is good if you dont mind going to the ghetto... nice people though...
