2 problems...rubbing and vibration
I've got 19x8's all around on my IS...the car is lowered with H&R springs...the problem is that the front tires rub against the plastic lining on sharp turns, some of the plastic lining has already gotten cut out. What should I do? Another problem I have is that there is a minor vibration, the back wheels don't seem to be getting balanced...the shop said they've done all they can do. What should I do about that?

8s on the IS front might be too wide..prob need some fender roll...the wheel might have some slight bend, need to find a shop with latest Hunter balancing machine to chekc for bend

I'm guessing the TIRES are rubbing, not the wheels... what are the wheel offsets & tire sizes? A 235/35-19 WILL rub the fender liner with the wheel turned hard one way or the other. You have three options:
1) Use a 'correct' 225/35-19
2) Modify the plastic fender liner (use a heat gun)
3) Live with it.
Also, your wheels may be the wrong offset (contributing to the rubbing), and may not be hub-centric.
Are they a 'generic' wheel? If so, the hub bore (pilot hole in the center of the wheel) is typically oversized to fit many different vehicle applications. The wheel manufacturer should have provided the correct 60.1mm adapter rings for your Lexus- these snap into the center hole of the wheel to ensure the wheels are centered correctly when they are balanced & installed on the car.
Can you give us a bit more info?

yes, the tires are rubbing on the plastic lining. I just had that checked and fixed and they took care of that problem. The wheels do not rub against the fender, 8's in the front fit fine. They put on some hub rings today to see if that takes care of the vibration I have been getting...he saw that it didn't perfectly fit on the hubs, there was minor movement and that probably caused it. I have a set of 19x8 Axis on for now, I am in the market for Lsportline Model IV's 19x7.5 for the front and 19x8.5 for the rear. I can get them for a really good deal when I'm ready to, but thats just the thing, I have been spending money on other mods that add up. Just got the Lsportline kit ordered, got some angel eyes ordered...Im hoping next will be the wheels!!
Thanks for the help you guys!
