maya wheels or xxr wheels
Hey people...
I'm in the market for so wheels for my ls430. Getting tired of running on sc430 wheels. Im not trying to spend lots of money, due to the fact I'm trying to save for a 69 chevelle which I'm going add some jdm touches to.
So I'm trying to spend less than 1000 for some used wheels with tires. So on Craigslist I've found maya wheels with tires.just needs 1 tire and lips have scuffs not to bad.
Also found some xxr 553 almost brand new with tires.
Both set ups are going for less than 900. But which is better quality? Here's actual pictures of them

Honestly, if those are your two choices, I would personally go with the Maya's. Maya = TrafficStar, who's owned by Riverside, who also does Altstadt blah blah blah, which is a nice JDM Brand. There will be people who will talk down on XXR, but in reality they're some of the toughest "rep" wheels I've seen. PRIMAX (XXR parent company) has also been doing OEM wheels for manufactures for years now.
My opinion, best bang for the buck with the Maya's.

On a LS the Mayas would look better but dont count out the XXR's tho... If it was a GS or IS, I would say XXR tho... there are a couple guys on here running those wheels and they arent all THAT terrible looking. I think they look good IMO. I used to have XXR wheels on my old honda and they looked great and held up really well comparably to what one would call "QUALITY" wheels. My only dislike was the lips were very soft and prone to dents and chips easily.
Those are XXR 526's Not 553's btw. But here are a couple examples. I would go XXR
526's on an IS350

526 on a SC
526 on a LS400
526 on a GS
