Default All Season tire recommendations for IS 350?

I currently have Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport summer tires on my 2011 IS 350 and would like to get some all seasons. I'm moving from California to Cincinnati, Ohio and during winter in Cincinnati, it gets pretty cold and there's some snow.

What are some good all seasons to get? I've been looking around and lots of people like the Continental DWS. Is that the best one or are there better?

The Continental Extreme Contact DWS would be a great tire for the Cincinnati area and an IS vehicle. It performs great in the summer, in the wet and of all of the all-season tires, the DWS is one of the best in snow.

Looks like a pattern here. I have the Continental control contact A/S that's America's Tire Company own brand. Up to this point of several months of driving around on it I've been very pleased. Had some rains that at the very least didn't have me questioning it's safety. Seemed solid. Don't know how to judge it with a brief two day down pour as I need a longer winter test. But for quietness, comfort, steering it all seemed to be winner. However this tire is not made for extra spirited driving. Leave that to the low profiles as these are more of a cruiser laid back tire.

Most Continental tires that are not original equipment perform very well in wet conditions.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS, Continental Extreme Contact DW, Continental True Contact and the Continental Pure Contact are all super fantastic tires. Each have their own niche. The DW and the DWS are performance orientated tires, and the Pure Contact and the True Contact are touring tires.

For a crossover/SUV, the Continental Cross Contact LX20 with Eco Plus Technology is a great offering from Continental.

Does around $800-900 to buy 225/40-18 and 255/40-18 Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires and have them installed sound about right?

Yeah, that sounds about right but it also depends on the shops too. I have the exact same tires on my IS250 and very happy with it. They are extremely quiet and comfortable so they are very good for daily driving. The steering respond is not as accurate and direct as summer tires but it is much lighter and smoother to steer so some people would actually prefer that. They perform extremely good in the rain. I would even say the best rain tire I have ever had.

They are not so great for autocrossing though. I find the Hankook v12 on my IS350 offers better grip and handling in autocrossing than the DWS but that is not a fair comparison, Hankook v12 is a dedicated summer tire while DWS is an all seasonal tires.
