Default Recommended Installer Price Up Front?

So..........

I decide to simulate an order with tire rack.
I choose a recommended installer.

The total does not reflect the installation price.
I look around and see literature about a price pledge but no price.

If I 'm missing it its because its not in my face like it should be.
It should be in the running total.

There is no way I'm going to pull the trigger wondering how much the installation is.

Am I dyslexic?

Lets start with saying that the prices of the tires and shipping will not be associated with the charges for installation. They are two separate charges and you would pay the installer for the install charges.

I assume you have looked at the installers in your area. This is the same info you should find on the check out scree. You can click this link and then input your zip code to find the installers in your area:

http://www.tirerack.com/installer/in...?affiliate=DZ1

Once you input your zip code, it should show installers within your area. The distance is based off the center of your zip code. It should also show you the costs associated, and the reviews for the installers based on feedback from the customers who have used their services.

When looking at charges, you would use the middle number of the tire size for the mount and balance charge, add the disposal charge and I generally will advise customers to be ready to pay for the TPMS service fee also. Not always will it be charged, but if you are prepared to pay it, there will not be any surprises.

As an example of a Firestone Store on a 09 RX350, 225/65/17 tire size:
60 Series and higher $11.40
Disposal $2.50
TPMS Service $5.00
-------------------------------------
$18.90 per tire for install

You will also see that Firestone charges a shop service fee of 6% of the total bill so that will need to be factored in.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know. Hopefully these two attachments will also help.

Thank You,

I guess I am dyslexic.
There it all is. I just don't click with the site I guess.

I put you guys up against my dealer today and it was within $25.00.
Not factoring in they don't give Tire Rack or say any online users the free rotation and balance check for the life of the tire they give in store purchasers.

Its a tough market. The dealer is very competitive so I know it may be better when comparing to other shops.

Thanks Again

You are welcome.

I understand that we can't offer services a local installer can. I hope our service and data on the website are also of value to you.

Tire Rack has been a great value.
I have purchased wheels and rotors via Tire Rack.

Thanks For The Patience of the Saints you demonstrated with me.
