Default 19inch...classon. is it too big for NY?

I have visted a local store sells rims...and tires and some tech stuff...they had same price with Tire rack. which I prefer to buy at local store...same price why not?
then one of the member of owner of that company had GS300 with 19by 9 or 8 forgot...anyway...it's 19 inch classons. which is for mercedes I know...but it looked great...had no damage except little scratch...and the owner of the car try to sell the car so that she want to sell wheels before she sells the car...

She said..she will give me a call about what price she want...
so I am just waiting for that...other wise.,,, I will go for 18 inch BBS...

WHat I concern is that 19inch...is a big wheel..and I live long lsland NY and I go NYC maybe 4~5times per month...(lot's of pot holes..) what do you guys think? it will bent the rim? the cost of new one is about 500~600 dollars per piece so I don't want that happen......

Please reply me with your experiences with 19 inch wheels...

Thanks.

It really depends on how u drive. I see cars with 19 and 20in wheels in NYC all the time. Since u only drive in the city a few times a month, i think its worth to get 19in wheels.

I live in BK and drive in the city all the time, thats why i got 18in. Plus i cant drive slow and be worried about my rims all the time, so for me its not worth it.
