Default Question about 20" tire/rims

Hey guys:

I have been debating over whether to get 19's or 20's. I know a 20" setup is larger than stock diameter. If I go 20's, they will be 20 x 8.5" all around with 245/35/20. How much is this going to throw the speedometer/odometer off. Also, since I have Nav on my '99 GS, how much will it affect that as well? I am running Tein HA coilovers with EDFC on stock rims right now. Any and all feedback from those of you running a 20 inch setup would be awesome.

As always, your help and info is greatly appreciated.

Mike

I have 255/35-20s and I think my speedo is off by 5-10 mph, when I raced my friend, he said he was doing about 130, and I was beating him, yet my speedo read 130 the whole time. i think you can have your speedo recalibrated after you get rims.

Can anyone confirm this?

thats true..but 5mph isn't that much...I have that set up and it is the closest to the size of the stock rim w/tire. the diameter is off by just a little and it doesn't really affect it by that much.

I have a Nav and I haven't noticed it's off enough to notice...it's still as accurate as far as I can tell...
