You must get snow tires. When I first bought my IS250 AWD I thought I could make it through winter with the all season Potenza's. A week later I got Blizzak's and I feel confident driving in snow. We've been getting hit with snow storm's up to 25 cm and the tires are doing its job with no problems.

X2. For sure! I went through 3 sets of these on my GS. I just bought an '08 IS, and the dealer put Turanza's OEM summer tires on. I told them I wouldn't take it home until the DWS's were on them(I hope to pick it up tomorrow!). Otherwise get separate wheels and blizzaks.

I went ahead and cancelled the order for the Michelins and ordered the Continental ExtremeContact DWS since four of you mentioned those. Thanks all.
