Default lug torque

Okay, I did a search. What is the torque for lugs on aftermarket wheels - Alstadt? The range in the search went from 75-76 for stock to 80-85 for aftermarket. Any advice on what to torque the lugs to on JDM aftermarket wheels?

thanks

Just for "better safe than sorry" sake, that is 76ft/lbs not newton or Kilos

lawman,

That sounds like a good plan. The key is just enough to keep the wheels on the car, yet not SOO tight that you can't change a flat on the side of the road with the short OEM lug wrench. If you cannot get the wheel off with the OEM wrench then you are kinda stuck breaking your back.

Default Too funny...

MW,

I laugh because I know what you mean about the side of the road thing with my friends car a while ago - could not get some of those lugs off!

anywhere in that range is good, it doesnt have to be super accurate. basically you dont want to go so tight that it warps your rotors or breaks the wheel studs and threads.
