Default Help calculating my offset

Hello guys, I need help figuring out the offset of my new wheels. I measured by first calculating whole width of the wheels. fronts were 9 inch wide and rear were 10 inch wide. Then I put a piece of wood on top of the rim with the front facing down. I measured the length from the surface of the " back mount face" to the bottom of the piece of wood. I measured 6.5 inches for the front and 7.25 for the rear. So 6.5-4.5=2 and 7.25-5=2.25. Convert to mm and I got +50.4 for the front and +57.15 for rear. Is this correct? I test fit the rims on my LS430 and they go out past my fenders. The offsets should be conservative so I dont know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

you measuring sounds correct, but I would bet the offsets are more like +40 / +45

technically measurements are supposed to be taken from the bead area of the tire, which is difficult to do accurately...

are you sure your numbers are exact? even 1/4" is 6.3 mm
