Default Street tire recommendation for 2002 GS300

I may be in the market for a new set of tires for my 2002 GS300. It has size 225/55R16 94V tires according to the manual. (It's my mother's car now, I'll be getting it in a few weeks.)

Here are my requirements:

I'm looking for a well mannered *street* tire. I will not be autocrossing, drag racing or road racing with this car. Street considerations like smooth, quiet ride are more important than the last hundredth of a G skid pad numbers. It's a California car, so performance in the wet is important, performance in snow is a non-issue.

What say you?

For quiet and comfort as the emphasis I would choose the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus, it's definitely one of the best offered in your size.
