Default whats a good brake pad for a sc300?

I was gonna order EBC "greenstuff" pads, but
I've seen quite a few dissappointing reviews on the web about them.

I might go with Hawks now,
or maybe Metal Matrix ones

any opinons?
thanks
Ken

I would go with the original Pads. I just did mine, dont get them from lexus. They will take you to the Cleaners. I will respond tommorrow on how to get your pads over the internet. Also make sure that if a mechaic installs them that he does not throw out your pad shims for the front & back. just for the front shims they are $90.00

Performance Friction makes a set for the N/A Supra,I love em;they grab like stock pads, then grab more as they warm up under pressure.
TRD used to sell them, don't know if they still do,but you can just go through PF, just as easy I imagine.

Could anyone give some links to where I could find good set of break pads for my '94 SC300? Truly, I don't know a thing about any brands at all.

ken i have the matrix pads on my car and they are decent i guess. stop a little better than stock and doesn't turn into jello as quickly as stock when you hit the brakes hard. these are used on my 19's though so they don't preform as well as they should but still decent. i'd suggest the hawks, they just dust a lot from what my friend has told me.

I'd go with the Hawks Too bad they don't make 'em for the 400.

Thumbs up

I would go with the EBC pads. I just installed them on my RMM big brakes and there is no brake dust. This is after driving all day long. Comparing them to the supra pads the kit came with this a 100% improvement not to mention the nice bite when I need to stop. I am a true believer of the product and cannot wait to install them on my rear brakes.

Here is a link to the brake products we offer, I like the Hawk or EBC each has its own merits. If you are just looking for a good OE type pad the Akebono Pro Act are the way to go.

What is the brandname of the SC300 STOCK brake pads? Are they sold under NIPPON name? What do you think about NIPPON and PBR brake pads?
