Probably not because they are not very wide and the offset brings the rims too far inside the fenderwell. I saw the 2nd Gen with it and it didn't look very nice.

NO!!! Your car is way to classy for IS styling. Remember, regardless of what you paid fo your car, it was a $45K car new.

Go with the 98-02 5-spoke GS 17's. Proper width, though they don't have the machined aluminum edges on the spokes like the IS rims. And since they're on the 2nd Gen (especially the V8 models), nobody can knock you for using rims from a smaller car.

I've seen the 2nd gen rims on a 1st gen GS, it does not look bad. I think that big car really needs 18s.

In Europe, it could be had with 235s front and 265s rear from the factory.
