shipment cost
For those of you who have shipped a set of wheels and tires before, can you tell me about how much the shipping is gonna be just so I can get a ballpark figure.I am gonna be shipping 20" w/tires mounted, but if youve shipped 19's or even 18's that would still give me an idea of what its gonna cost. They most likely will be shipped from Atlanta, Ga. to Michigan I believe.....TIA

go to freightquote.com and set up a free account. i sent out 18'' wheels and tires to miami, fl.for $137. shipping will take 2 days. they give a list of different carriers. us freightway/dugan was the cheapest. they will come and pick the boxes up for you. you will need to weigh them though. what i did was take one box to mail box etc. and tell them you want to see how much they would charge to ship (just to get the weight) to miami, and they told me it would be $60 per box x 4 boxes= $240 which was going to be thru ups ground shipment. i came out $103 to the better. i heard about this from someone on our site. this is why it is good to read this site. i am new to the site, but i have received valuable info.
they have about 10 different carriers........such as ups, federal express, emery worldwide. you will also need to measure the height, width etc.
they have an excellent customer service dept. that walked me thru each step.
good luck
