Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you all know that I just got 18" Giovanna Rio's on my 1998 GS300!!! I have 245/40s alll around. The car looks amazing compared to the stock wheels I had on before. I have not done the L-Tuned package (I spent $1900 on the wheels!!!) because money is low right now. I honestly like the way the car looks now (but 1" or 1.5" lower would make it look a LOT better). Everyone tells me that I should not lower it (people think it already looks awesome). Do any of you recommend just changing the springs and not the shocks? I really don't want to spend too much more money. Do I need to change the shocks also? How about the ECU unit? Thanks!

CONGRATS man, i'll be waiting for pictures!
of course you should lower it. more pros than cons. As for the price, go with the L-tuned because Steve can get you REALLY GOOD DEALs on it. And you'll probably love the comfort and performance that co-exists.
YES you need to change the shocks too. It's better to get it done together. The stock shocks won't last you too long, and you save money by installing them at once and don't have to do 2 alignments.

NEW 18s on my GS300!!! - PICTURES!!!
OK...I promised that I would get pictures of my 1998 GS300 with the new 18" Giovanna Rio's! I have 245/40s all around. The pictures here are without the L-Tuned package (in other words, the car hasn't been lowered at all). What do you all think?!!!
