one of my friends has a set of advans on his 3000gt and they've been sitting on his retired car for a few years. he's finally taken up my offer to buy his wheels, but i'm not 100% sure they'll fit my car. anyone know the usual bolt pattern and offsets that these cars run? he doesn't know what offset they are. they're 18's...

The 3000GT VR-4 wheels have a HUGE offset to fit the massive front brakes. The bolt pattern is 5 X 114.3 (same as most Lexus'). Not too sure about the center bore or if you'll need centering rings, but that's a minimal concern I think. A friend of mine has a VR-4 and we talked about him buying my OZ's, but the offset was the only thing that didn't work. If it is an SL it would be no problem, but with the additional offset for the bigger brakes of a VR-4 it may set the wheel too far out for your liking. Best bet is to just test fit one and see what it looks like. If he's a friend that shouldn't be too much to ask. I'll check with my buddy to get the specs from him.

edit: Just checked with him and he is pretty sure the offset is around 45 for the stock wheels, but if you r friend has aftermarket it may require a different offset due to a different spoke pattern.
