Should I replace my SC300 tires with OEM Eagle GA???
OK...I have a dilema...I need to replace my tires. The OEM tires for the 92 SC300 is the Goodyear Eagle GA 215/50R15 93V. The problem is that the cheapest I could get these tires is $110/each. Is there a better tire that I could use to give me the same peformance (low road noise, good handling, high rating) that is cheaper? The tire dealers told me that only a few cars use the Eagle GA V rated tires and thats probably why they are so expensive. Actually the average cost is $150. Thanks for your help....

Yeah, I just replaced the 15" rims on my SC300. Really worn out Michelin MXV4s, had 45k on them. Kinda fun on dry, treacherous on wet. I ended up replacing the rims with 2000 GS Platinum 16" rims + brand new tires, already mounted and balanced, for about the price of new 15" tires with mounting and balancing. There are better solutions than slapping new rubber on those 15" cheese graters. A lot of people are selling their take-offs in the classified forum. I suggest you start looking there.
