Opinion on these wheels.
What do you think of these? I'm considering them for my black 95 SC400. Want to get them in 18s so that I can do the TT brake upgrade in the future. I can get the whole package (tires & wheels) for about 2K @ the Tire Rack. I know they're not HREs, but I don't want to spend 4k + on rims. (OK, I would really like to spend 4k on HREs, but my wife would divorce me ) Thanks for your opinions!

rushgator2112,
I don't think those wheels will fit the TT Brake Calipers forward offset issue. They may clear the tops but not the heatsink fins.
If you want to be sure they fit the TT Brakes...you need to order the rims made for the Supra TT. For example, Tirerack only sells 4 wheels for that fitment. BBS LMs, SSR Comps, SSR GT1, and SSR GT3

These wheels looks really good. Seems like they would look quite good on your sc. Seems to me like they blend very well sportiness and good taste. By the way, for the guys who tell you they will not fit the tt brakes, they're probably righ. But you know, there is a lot of other very nice options in terms of after market brakes, so if you really like them and they fit your budget, go for it. It's really personnal when it gets down to what wheels to buy.

Not a bad looking wheel...are they a real 2-piece wheel? Or a welded 2-piece wheel (what I would honestly call a 1-piece)?
Either way, they're not bad looking...what kind of tires are you putting on?

The tires that I priced are Yokohama AVS ES100 245/40WR18 @$156 per. I have read the reviews at the Tire Rack, and they seem favorable. I just hope that they last longer than my current set of Dunlops. Anyone have anything good to say about these tires?? As for the wheels, Tire Rack lists them as "2-piece construction". Does anyone have the MM Impera on their car, or has anyone seem it in person? As for those with fitment doubts regarding the brakes, I checked on Tire Racks system and it's true, they do not show for a Supra TT. However, awhile back I PMed Computerwiz since he has MM wheels and the Supra brake package on his SC300. He said that he had no problem with clearance. As far as I know he did not have to do anything like grinding the caliper or using spacers. Still, I want to be really sure before spending the green. Does anyone else have a setup like computerwiz??

I have Yokohama AVS ES100s, and they ride great! Lots of traction, quiet ride, but soft compound. I don't think they'll last more than 30,000 miles. As for the wheels, not bad, but not my style. I think they'll look too small in 18s though, since you have that beaded inner-lip (whatever it's called!). Consider 19s or 20s?
