Cracked One Of My Dubs!
Guess my luck ran out
. Found out that my left rear wheel has a little 2 inch crack and leaking air. I managed to temporarily repair my rim with some super glue, but it won't last.
Anyone know a place where they can repair cracked rims? Preferably in the NYC area that does "in-house" work where they don't have to ship it anywhere. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I rather weld it together than buy a new rim

Btw: Can anyone give me some feedback on this site WWW.FIXRIM.COM. Anyone dealt with them? They charge $250 flat rate to fix rims, plus they chrome them again. I am usually hesitant on sending my stuff somewhere in which I won't be able to see what exactly they are doing to it. Are they reputable?

Bit, thanks for the info, do you have any # I can contact them with?
In nyc (especially along queens/northern blvd), there is SO MANY rim shops, there has gotta be a place that fixes crack rims. Anyone??

WHATS UP YOU SAID YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WHEEL REPAIRSHOP IN THE NY AREA IN CT THERE IS SHOP SPECIALIZING IN WHEEL REPAIR. THE NAME IS WHEEL CRAFT AND I HAVE HAD THEM FIX TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF WHEELS FOR ME IN THE PAST. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO GET A HOLD OF THEM FOR YOU SINCE MY SHOP HAS A CONTRACT WITH THEM FOR ALL OUR WHEEL REPAIRS.
