Well, maybe you can help me out. I want a set of 18s for my car, with tires mounted. I am only looking to spend around $700 or so. I have found some really nice used rims at that price. Any hookups you can give?

Depends on the wheel with & offset- you have to be careful on the ES, because if the wheel offset is too high, the rim/tire will contact the rear strut tube.

225/40-18 is really the correct size, an 18x8 +35 is about perfect.
A 235/40-18 will barely work on an 18x8.5 +35, to will definitely need to roll or trim the rear fender lip.

If they are 18x7.5, the 235/40-18 will look terrible- it's too wide for this wheel.
