Default new tire is more than 1 1/2 yrs old?

Got new bridgestone alenzas 235/55/18 for my 09 rx350 today. I went to register tires and found 3 tires made in mexico with mfg date codes 1011,1611,0911 ( 10th,16th and 9th week of 2011)

My 4th tire is made in japan with date code of 2710 (27th week of 2010)

dealer says no problem yet I am concerned that 1 tire is 1 1/2 old already and was made in a different factory.

Should I demand the one tire be exchanged? Tell me what u think?

1.5 years is well within the norm for a tire that was stored indoors out of direct sunlight and not in sub freezing temperatures... 3 years is what we generally deem as standard industry practice and tires more than 3 years old, we sell cheaper, 4 years old and they get sent back for recycling...

Bridgestone's Tire Warranty is pretty simple - 3 years from date of purchase is free replacement (so long as more than 2/32" tread is still on the tire), 5 years from date of purchase pro-rated (after the free replacement period, 2 more years pro-rated, essentially), or, with a lack of paperwork, 6 years from date of manufacture, whichever benefits the customer.

This is a perfectly normal situation and nothing to be worried about whatsoever...

The tires are built the exact same way no matter what factory they came from, Bridgestone having something like 140+ tire factories worldwide...

It's not on common for a manufacturer to build a production run of tires for a few months and store the entire run to be shipped together on the same container ship. Then once the tires are in containers for shipping it can be an additional few months before arrival to the actually tire dealers. So, even some of the freshest tires can still be close to a year old. The tires dates you have provided are nothing to be alarmed about and are well within the normal new tire manufacture date range.
