Guys with 19s,
How is your ride quality with 19in wheels? I noticed with the 19s my ride is rather stiff and the road noise is loud as compared to my past experience with 18s. I had to set my Tein HA's to "softest." My setup is 245/35/19 in the front and 275/30/19 in the rear with Yokohama AVS Sport. Sometimes it feels as though I've sacrificed looks over comfort (and minimal road noise). What are your experiences? Is there such a thing as a quiet riding and soft 19in tire combo?

maybe for huge VIP sedans like Q45 or LS or S500 you can go with fatter tires on 19s but don't think you can go any fatter than what you got. Try 35 on the back?
My uncle has 20" Lorinsers on his older model S600. The tires are still kinda fat so even though they're 20s the ride isn't bad still.

Well, I'm also rolling Yokohama AVS Sport 245/35-19 front and 275/30-19 rear. IMO, when you're running 35 and 30 series tires, you have to expect road noise. I talked to my buddy at The Wheel Supply and he says that is pretty much how it is. Ultra performance tires at our size have all got road noise that is way more than stock!
I have noticed though that the road noise is pretty loud when my tires were inflated at 41psi. I lowered them to 37psi and set my TEINs to the softest setting, and the road noise is now much more acceptable. I'm planning to lower it to 35psi in front. My only concern is treadwear as I lower the pressure. (My first set of tires lasted 20K miles at 34psi and 36 psi, front and rear, respectively.)

I heard stories about putting less air into the tires to make road noise more bearable. Since greater wear is an issue according to Allan, I'll comprimise the noise for the wear because these ultra high performance tires are definitely not cheap! I am thinking about downsizing the front tires to 18" and leave the rears 19." I believe this method is the NSX approach.
