Default How to repair clearcoat chip?

I decided to save some money so I rotated my tires this afternoon. In the process, I chipped a 1/4" chunk out of my clearcoat on my stock LS400 wheel. Is there a simple and easy
way to repair this? I just don't want it to spread and get my wheel all funky looking....

Couldn't I go to a paint shop and get a "little" clear coat and just dab in on the spot? Is that the same kind of clearcoat ?

not sure if they are the same materiall(most likely not)..esp clearcaot from japan is really fine, even wheel repair shop said their "pro stuff" cannot match the original(the guy was quite honest)..

you can certainly try DIY and see how the result is...

I have yet to find a shop in So Cal that can match the quality of clearcoating that JDM manufactures put on. If you find a shop, please let me know.
