Will rims off a Mustang fit an SC? The bolt pattern is 5x4.5 but what else is there to be sure? I'm not looking to buy rims, just curious?

Actually, the late-model Mustang OE wheels are 17x8 +30: just about right for the SC. They'll probably shake a bit, due to the larger centerbore of the Mustang (70.6mm versus 60.1mm).
A reputable machine shop could make you a set of centering rings for perhaps $100/set.

Nope, a 17x8 +30 will not stick out on an SC300/400. That's the same frontspacing as a 17x8.5 +36 or a 17x9 +42- nearly flush with the fender. My 19x9 +35 are flush, a 17x8 +30 are 1/4" more inboard.
... not that I think using Mustang wheels on a Lexus is a good idea... Todd's right, it's time to coin-up for some proper wheels!

Yes, the front spacing is the same (or off by .02" to be exact), but when you use a narrower wheel, the tire also moves further outward...this is where I think the problems will arise.
The back would definitely work ok, the front could be a problem.
