Default OEM GS Wheels

What years OEM GS 17" wheels fit a 98 GS with no offset issues etc.?

Also, maybe I'm doing it for looks, but do I also receive greater advantages with 17's than OEM 16's? (I currently have a set of OEM 16's with high sidewall snow tires, and love the smoothness.)

Gone are the days of racing my GS.

I'm looking for a set and want to rid my 18's - too many potholes.

ALL Years; 1998-2005 17's are exactly the same offset (+50) and are all interchangeable in the 2GS.

What years did the styling change within that range? Just so I know what to look for in terms of different styles

With the 17's, 2 Styles.. The 5 star wheels ('98-'02) and the 7 Spoke wheels ('03-'05).. I have both 5 star and 7 spoke so I know this to be true..

Hmm, I have 2009 18's and they fit fine, so compatibility for the 17's stopped in 2005+?

Not sure what you're trying to ask but the 18's will fit on 2GS, like your car but I'm sure you can put the 17's on the 3GS but i wouldn't advise it as the offset changed a little and the 17's will be more sunken in on the 3GS.. You can put alot of different Lexus wheels on the 2GS. People has put IS, RX and some older LS wheels on the 2GS and it has fit fine..

I'm looking to see what 17's will fit my 2GS, and was clarifying the statement that the ones up to the 2005's will fit.

18's seem to be a different story altogether, and was just curious.

I'm looking for 17's.

Usually, I wouldn't put FWD rims on a RWD car but according to the specs given, it "should" fit but make sure those rims clear your brake calipers before you buy them by doing a test fit..

thanks again, I am trying to find the offset and specs for the GS, I suppose these are different? I ask cause I'm wondering what differently is done for a FWD car, as each rim is identical, correct?

I cannot test em, there are a bunch on here or ebay etc.

Dude, i don't know why you keep asking the same question over and over, If you already have 18's 3GS wheels on your car then ofcourse 17's GS will fit.. If you need verification just do a search for a pic of someone with a 2GS with 17" wheels from a 3GS..

at the risk of getting reprimanded, I'm curious why you mentioned the FWD vs RWD difference, implying the rims were engineered differently to accommodate a particular type?
